Hi, I'm Jeffrey.

I'm a software engineer who enjoys solving problems with code. These days I'm mostly living on the frontend, however I have experience across the whole stack. I'm always happy to put on any hat when the need arises. In the words of Ryder, “No job is too big, no pup is too small!” (Why do I know this?)

Currently, I lead frontend at ProtonLabs, where I've helped ship AI products such as a PDF Chat app ( AskYourPDF), Cursor for document writing ( CoWriter) and others to hundreds of thousands of users. Previously, I've worked at Embrace Technologies and Mako Studios. In my spare time, I like to work with my mechanic on restoring my dad's J150 (Toyota supremacy baby). I also like to play video games (currently playing God of War 2018 - RDR2 was robbed btw).

    • Built REST API endpoints in Flask for the Medley Health Application — statistics, medical records, and secure payment processing.
    • Implemented CRON jobs in Flask to automate user notifications, improving timely communication and engagement.
    • Used Python and BeautifulSoup to scrape websites for medical condition data, building a dataset for Medley's Symptom Checker.

  • Telehealth System

    Dec 2021 — May 2022

    A full-stack mobile telehealth app — Django REST API with a React Native client. Integrated Twilio's Video SDK for virtual consultations between patients and doctors, and used face-api.js to capture cues about a patient's emotional state during calls to support care delivery.
